Electric scooter/bike-share offers convenient, spontaneous, short-distance transportation for commuting, meetings, errands, and fun.
Every spring, usually in April, the scooter and e-bike fleets emerge. For commuters, shared-use mobility (i.e. scooter and e-bike-share) can fill the gap for short trips from transit stops to the office. It is the shortest way across downtown to a meeting without having to worry about finding and paying for parking.
For employers, scooter and e-bike-share provides sustainable and affordable transportation for short trips and office errands. Scooter and e-bike-share also promote health and wellness via active transportation.

Simply download an app to locate and rent a scooter or e-bike. You’ll be charged an unlocking fee and then by the minute.
Scooters and e-bikes are very popular and fun, but must be used properly. No riding on sidewalks or parking in the pedestrian right-of-way. Scooters can ride on city streets, bikeways, and bike trails. Be considerate of people on foot or using mobility devices.
STAY TUNED!!! The City of Minneapolis not yet announced which companies are licensed as electric scooter and e-bike providers for the 2025 season.
Regulations in Minneapolis require that scooters and e-bikes must be locked to a public bike rack, on-street corral, or municipal signpost (except bus stop and stop signs) when parked and not in use. Rented scooters and e-bikes are outfitted with cable locks.
Scooter and e-bike-share fleets operate seasonally. Weather permitting, the season runs April until November.
