All trails lead Downtown!
As the momentum to return to the office continues to grow, we highlighted active transportation instead of adding to highway congestion. ABC Ramps Mobility Hub and Move Minneapolis presented Downtown Bike Day on June 1st, 2022 – a celebration of bike commuting, recreational riders, and those curious about city biking.
Many joined us to celebrate and elevate biking developments in downtown Minneapolis, including bike/pedestrian infrastructure, mobility hubs, and secure bike parking that are improving downtown access and safety. Downtown Bike Day highlighted bike amenities, safe routes, e-bikes, cool bike swag, and celebrated Minneapolis as a top biking city.
At 12:30 there were welcoming remarks by Mayor Jacob Frey, Philipp Muessig from the City of Minneapolis Bicycle Advisory Committee, and Anthony Taylor, co-founder of Slow Roll MSP – an organization that coordinates fun, safe, and inclusive group bike rides for people of all ages and skill levels to foster economic and community revitalization.
