February 4th was selected because it will mark the 107th birthday of Rosa Parks. Just as Rosa Parks helped to lead a movement to oppose injustice in the Montgomery bus system, work continues today to ensure that public transportation is accessible and affordable to all. Now in its third year, Transit Equity Day calls attention to disparities in transit access and air quality.
