Move Minneapolis is made possible by a federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality grant, in partnership with the City of Minneapolis, the Metropolitan Council, MnDOT, and the downtown Minneapolis Community. All of our programs seek to improve air quality by reducing traffic congestion and pollution generated by automobile exhaust. We accomplish this through a year-round outreach and education effort that raises awareness and reduces barriers to taking more sustainable trips around Minneapolis.

Breathe Easy focuses on three main goals:
Employers can help with the effort by inviting Move Minneapolis to staff spring events, such as employer wellness fairs, sustainability/Earth Day events, Minneapolis Bike Week events, and benefits fairs. Employers can also sign up to receive Air Quality Alerts via email that they can forward to their workers, that increase awareness of bad air events and encourage employees to consider changing their travel behavior during these events.
