The 2018 Move Minneapolis Transportation Summit – downtown’s most important gathering for the employers, operators, advocates and commuters who make Minneapolis move.
Downtown Minneapolis is facing the future of transportation today. A massive, four-year I-35W refresh, exciting bus rapid transit lines, a new vision for dockless bike sharing and much more make multimodal transportation a hot topic in downtown boardrooms and breakrooms.
- Keynote speaker Robin Hutcheson was Director of Public Works for the City of Minneapolis. Hutcheson believes deeply in the power of investment in public rights of way to achieve broad community goals. She drives transportation infrastructure innovation to improve safety and access for everyone.
- MnDOT’s Aaron Tag and Metro Transit’s Christina Morrison spoke to impending 35W@94 Downtown to Crosstownproject impacts – and how transit and multimodal choices will be your best bets for a smooth commute during construction.
It was a full house at the 2018 Downtown Transportation Summit! Our message of multi-modalism was loud and clear with keynote Robin Hutcheson’s superb analysis of the future of transportation and MnDOT/Metro Transit’s timely suggestions for surviving the I-35W construction project. The event was live-tweeted and social media response has been delightful.
Thanks going out to the many wonderful people and organizations that helped make the 2018 Transportation Summit happen, in addition to our excellent donor-collaborators at Metro Transit and the City of Minneapolis. Special thanks going out to our Summit sponsors: Target, Thrivent Financial and Allied Parking!
