Find Move Minneapolis at Peavey Plaza on the corner of Nicollet and 11th Street. We’ll be welcoming car-free commuters downtown with free coffee and breakfast items, as well as swag and high fives to celebrate World Car-Free Day!

World Car-Free Day aims to create awareness and educate communities about alternatives to driving alone. Launched in Spain in 1996, World Car-Free Day is observed in 1,500 cities and more than 40 countries.

People throughout the Minneapolis-Saint Paul (MSP) region are encouraged to get around without reaching for the car keys. Change how you get from point A to point B between September 1st and September 22nd by trying public transit or by biking, walking, rolling, or teleworking. Carpooling and carshare also count!

Go completely car-free all day on Thursday, September 22, 2022 and join community celebrations to connect with other participants.
