Rider Alert: LRT maintenance downtown Mpls June 22 – July 3

Starting  June 22 at 6:45 p.m. through July 3 by 5:00 a.m.:
downtown light-rail service will be unavailable for
11 days of required maintenance. Green and Blue Line light-rail service will stop at the Downtown East station.  The four other downtown stations will be closed for maintenance

The intersection of Hennepin Avenue and 5th Street will be closed from 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, through 3 a.m. on Sunday, July 2. Hennepin Avenue buses will be detoured to Marquette and 2nd Avenue while this intersection is closed. There will also be changes to overnight bus line-ups that allow for connections. It will be a tough, slow and inconvenient detour.

Biking

Metro Transit is partnering with
Nice Ride Minnesota to help  V ,􀀂,V you continue on your journey.
From June 22 – July 3, 2017, the first half hour on a Nice Ride bike will only be $1 through the official Nice Ride Bike Share app, available on Android and iOS. Pricing will be reflected in-app, no promo code needed. Just download, login, ride, enjoy! Trips exceeding 30 minutes are charged $3 per additional half hour.

Bus

Rail replacement bus service will be available during the shutdown and will operate on 3rd St. and 4th St.*
Buses will operate as often as trains but may take longer to travel through downtown.
Note: Due to rail maintenance, platform entrance on the west end will be closed. Please board the platform at the east end.
